Junior boxers complete beginners course Apr-Jun 2021

A massive well done to 134 of our Beginners boxers that have just completed their 8 week beginners boxing course.


With restrictions in place we done the 8 weeks of training every Friday on outdoors in Dunedin. We are really looking forward to working with these boxers and them represent our club for many years to come. 


Huge credit to all the boxers and their parents, they adapted really well to the outdoor sessions.


We held a ‘one boxer & family at a time’  presentation and presented some of the boxers with a well earned MBC Medal, Cert & Tshirt.


We would like to thank DLRCC in particular our community officer Sandra Kelly who is always on hand to help our club, St. Joseph’s FC Sallynoggin, DLR Sports Partnership, DLR PPN Office, our local sponsors and our community for their constant support. 


Our next 8 Week Beginners Boxing Course for Boys & Girls (age 8, 9, 10 & 11) will be starting in September 2021.


This is an introduction to Amateur Boxing, all the kids will learn the basics & skills. 
At the end of the 8 weeks we will present each kid with A Certificate, A Medal and invite them to join our club proper going forward. 


The areas we particularly focus on are Fitness, Strength, Footwork, Coordination & Discipline.
